Undersökningsjätten Nielsen är återigen “officiell leverantören av undersökningar” för OS i Rio. Tidigare har Nielsen fått kontraktet för både London 2012 och Peking 2008.
Kontraktet som omfattar de olympiska och paralympiska spelen tecknades under en särskild ceremoni i Cidade Nova distriktet i Rio. Nielsen kommer att ansvara för rapporter om den allmänna opinionen samt om spelen, innan , under och efter.
Rio 2016 President Carlos Nuzman säger: “It is a great pleasure to have Nielsen as our official supplier. For the Beijing and London Games, Nielsen provided the Organising Committees with excellent, detailed knowledge. Listening to society is fundamental to the organisation of the Games and the information that we receive will be crucial for our decision-making and will become of the great legacies for Brazil.”
Eduardo Ragasol, President of Nielsen i Brasilien kommenterade: “Hosting the Olympic and Paralympic Games is a historical moment, that changes a country… Our mission is to help the Olympic Movement take decisions and support Brazil in delivering the best Games in history.”
