Googles satsning på artificiell intelligens heter DeepMind och den har nu lyckats skapa ‘fantasi’. Framtidens AI blir allt mer mänsklig.
Genombrottet för forskningen inom AI leder till att datan nu kan tänk på sitt agerande och resonera över hur de ska göra nästa gång. Den tar historiska data, går igenom den och ‘kastar bort’ onödig data och behåller viktig data för framtida beslut, som den ännu inte vet att den ska ta. Forskarna har definierat detta som ‘fantasi’ och till viss del stämmer ju det. Vår egna fantasi bygger på intryck vi fått i vårt liv. vår hjärna pysslar ihop erfarenheter, intryck och kunskap som skapar framtida illusioner av vad som kan hända.
“Imagining the consequences of your actions before you take them is a powerful tool of human cognition. When placing a glass on the edge of a table, for example, we will likely pause to consider how stable it is and whether it might fall. On the basis of that imagined consequence we might readjust the glass to prevent it from falling and breaking. If our algorithms are to develop equally sophisticated behaviours, they too must have the capability to ‘imagine’ and reason about the future,” resonerar DeepMind.
Google testade sina algoritmer genom att spela pusslet Sokoban och ett spel där man ska navigera ett rymdskepp. Båda spel kräver planering, fantasi och resonemang.
