World Television Day är ett firande av tv som medium. Bakom initiativet finner vi EBU, ACT och EGTA.
EBU är förkortningen för European Broadcasting Union som har medlemmar i 56 länder. ACT står för Association of Commercial Television in Europe och som 33 medlemsföretag från 27 europeiska länder. EGTA har 128 medlemsföretag i 39 länder och representerar alla tv-säljhus.
